Barretto-Co. firmly believes that businesses have a responsibility to be a force for good.

We are thrilled to announce our ambitious and purpose-driven journey toward making a significant environmental and social impact with our work—an objective we've worked toward for decades.

As a Bay Area-based creative agency, we recognize the urgent need for collective action to address the pressing challenges our planet and communities face today.

Guided by our core values of creativity, innovation, and responsibility, we are on a path to integrate sustainability and social consciousness into every aspect of our work.

Our vision is to leverage the power of design, storytelling, and technology to inspire awareness, incite action, and shape a more equitable and environmentally resilient world. By adopting sustainable practices, reducing our carbon footprint, promoting diversity and inclusivity, and supporting local communities—we aim to lead by example.

We also recognize the importance of education and advocacy. As part of our mission, we will actively engage in raising awareness about critical environmental and social issues, empowering individuals and organizations to make informed choices and participate in collective efforts for change.

We are a team of futurists on a mission to create positive change and unforgettable experiences. We strive to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, be good stewards of the environment, and positively contribute to our local communities. We seek out kindred organizations to increase opportunities for DEI through pro bono services, mentorships, hiring, certifications, and vendor relationships.

We support our local community by ensuring that at least 50% of our suppliers and vendors are within a 50-mile radius, and at least 75% of our clients are.

We are a minority-owned, SLEB-certified, virtual design studio with purpose.

Our Social Impact

Our objective is to leave a positive, lasting mark on the world by dedicating 40% (or more) of our total creative working hours toward work that aligns with common and shared values—better education, improved neighborhoods, equitable housing, sustainable energy, bridging cultural divides, enhanced public health, and boosting civic and community pride.

Impact on Community

Committed to Education

We have partnered with organizations like Calbright College. Calbright is a public community college established by the state of California. In that sense, they are a traditional institution: a public, non-profit college–part of the California Community Colleges system. In every other way, Calbright is a new kind of college. Their unique education model offers an accessible, career-focused education, designed to work within the schedules of California’s working-age adults.
