As I reflect on 2023, I’m excited to share some of the milestones we’ve achieved together at The Wander Project.

This year, we created our very own Company Handbook—a true labor of love that aligns with our B Corp values. It’s more than just a guide; it represents our commitment to integrity, fairness, and excellence in everything we do.

I was also honored to attend the We The Change Retreat for the first time, where I led a workshop on Designing a Leadership Lifestyle. The retreat brought together an inspiring group of women CEOs from Certified B Corporations and other purpose-driven organizations, all dedicated to fostering a more inclusive and regenerative global economy. The thoughtful conversations and connections were truly unforgettable, leaving me more inspired than ever to be part of this community.

Watching our clients grow has been one of the most rewarding aspects of this year. They’ve expanded their leadership abilities and deepened their impact, both personally and professionally. Seeing their positive changes in lives and communities reaffirms why we do what we do.

Our partnership with The Lands Council continues to be a cornerstone of our mission. Together, we’re making strides in preserving our natural landscapes and supporting essential environmental initiatives.

Last year’s WeTheChange retreat in 2023 was an unforgettable experience — a gathering of women CEOs from Certified B Corporations and other purpose-driven organizations, all committed to creating a radically inclusive and richly regenerative global economy.

The retreat was thoughtfully curated, allowing for meaningful conversations with insightful women who are making a difference in the world. I’m excited to announce that we have joined We The Change’s new membership program as a ‘Catalyst’ – the pinnacle of peer interaction and collective impact.

In 2023, with the help of fellow local B Corp Measure Meant, Wander was is the process of recertifying as a B Corp, reaffirming our commitment to sustainable business practices and contributing to collective positive impact.

Joining the B Corp community is just the beginning of a journey towards greater impact. For us, achieving B Corp certification signifies a commitment to never stop climbing. It’s more than a badge; it’s a promise to aim higher, challenge our limits, and redefine success with every step.

Most B Corps keep improving their impact over time, and B Lab does its part by continually raising the certification bar to match evolving world issues. Ultimately, it’s our collective responsibility to keep advancing better business practices.

Achieving 100% Client Satisfaction Through Continuous Feedback

At Wander, we prioritize client satisfaction by actively collecting and analyzing feedback through coaching conversations, formal questionnaires, and impact interviews. This ongoing feedback loop enables us to continuously refine our services, contributing to our 100% satisfaction rate to date.

We also collaborate with a third-party business consultant to monitor the effectiveness of our executive coaching and facilitation projects. Regular client interviews are conducted to assess the impact of our services, with transcripts used to ensure quality and adapt to evolving client needs, maintaining the relevance of our offerings.

This process is documented in Wander’s newly designed Company Handbook, which serves as a comprehensive guide outlining our guiding principles and operational protocols, aligned with B Corp business practices. The handbook encompasses a set of documented guidelines to ensure consistency, fairness, compliance, and ethical behavior across all aspects of the company’s activities.

At Wander, our goals for the coming year are deeply rooted in our commitment to living our values and making a meaningful impact.

We are dedicated to Living Our Values by actively pursuing values-based investment opportunities in fellow B Corps and purpose-driven businesses. As a Responsible Company, we will continue to hold ourselves accountable by submitting our application for B Corp recertification in 2024. Our commitment to Purposeful Partnerships drives us to expand our support network, creating more opportunities to serve new organizations and leaders.

To ensure we are Evolving the Business, we will further develop our B Corp business practices, capture key client insights, and refine our processes. Community Involvement is at the heart of our mission, and we will increase our engagement and contributions within the local Northwest community. Finally, by Scaling for Impact, we aim to grow our brand presence and expand our service offerings.
